Turbine Oil Distributor in Jakarta
Turbine oil is commonly used in reduction gears, sliding bearings, and hydraulic control systems of connected units. The main function of turbine oil in addition to cooling, wear and corrosion protection is the lubrication of the turbine and generator bearings.
Turbine oil is a highly refined petroleum distillate oil obtained from low sulfur wax free crude or sulfur paraffin crude oil and contains various additives, such as oxidation inhibitors, anti-corrosion agents, demulsifiers, foam inhibitors and in certain cases contain wear agents. .
PT. Patra Energy Lubrindo is the most complete distributor of turbine oil from various brands that have been tested for quality and excellence.
Turbine Oil Application and Function
Turbine oil is used to lubricate bearings and auxiliary engines in steam and hydraulic turbines, turbo pumps and refrigeration turbo compressors. Turbine oil is also used as a lubricant and working fluid in various types of closed-cycle industrial machines. All turbines, both steam and gas, have a large oil reservoir to lubricate the turbine bearings.
Turbine Oil is a very high quality rust and oxidation inhibition circulating oil developed for use in industrial steam turbines, rotary air compressors and many other industrial applications.
Turbine Oil Formulation
Turbine oil has a relatively simple formulation, where turbine oil consists of a mixture of ingredients: base oil, corrosion inhibitors, oxidation inhibitor, defoamant and demulsifier. Base oil or base oil is usually 97 percent or more of the turbine oil formula. Additives are mixed into the base oil at low levels to protect the oil and turbine parts.
Additives must be selected so as to provide optimal performance in the turbine, as per OEM requirements. Additives are mixed into the base oil at low levels to protect the oil and turbine parts.
Many newer turbine oils have been formulated with base oils refined by newer techniques. Most laboratory test data indicate that the use of this new base fluid will provide a longer lubricant life in field applications.
Turbine Oil Formulated For Uptime and Long Life
Oil problems are one of the causes of all forced turbine blackouts. Among the various mechanisms in the turbine system that can cause oil degradation during operation are oxidation & thermal degradation.
The turbine oils we supply create a unique blend of high performance gaseous combustion turbine oils, combined cycle turbine oils, steam turbine oils, hydroelectric turbine oils and eco-friendly turbine oils to protect even the most high-maintenance engine parts.
Types of Turbine Oil Based on Viscosity
Turbine oils are characterized by high levels of oxidation stability, good anti-corrosion and demulsifying properties, and low foaming capacity. Based on the level of viscosity, turbine oil is categorized into two, namely:
- Turbine oil with a viscosity of 20–23 × 10–6 m2/s (20–23 centistokes) at 50°C used in high speed turbine units (3,000 rpm or higher)
- Turbine oil with a viscosity of 28–48 × 10–6 m2/s (28–48 centistokes) or higher is used in low speed and high power turbine units such as ship turbines.
